These Players Will Have The NFL Draft Sweats
In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by New Era, we're breaking down a handful of players that will have their heads on a swivel during this week's NFL draft.
In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by New Era:
Similar to the infamously dreaded āmeat sweats,ā the āDraft Sweatsā are just as intimidating.
While NFL fans are glued to the TV during the draft for the sake of their teamās future as a whole, there are key players who have their future job security riding on the line.
Every. Pick. Matters.
This Thursday, palms will be sweaty, knees weak, and arms heavy.
These Players Will Have The NFL Draft Sweats!
Nick Chubb
While Nick Chubb has been vocal and confident about his ability to return to form in 2025, heās still only shouting about his progress from the deep, dark abyss of free agency.
Will the Browns re-sign him? Perhaps. But with an RB class as deep and talented as this one, Chubb might want to keep a few extra towels lying around. Itās gonna get super sweaty. Because with every fresh-legged RB who goes off the board, itās one less team in need of an aging veteran coming off of injury.
Itās not a great year to come back (but that sounds like the perfect recipe for a comeback).
Stefon Diggs
Itās highly unlikely that a unicorn like Travis Hunter falls to the Patriots at 1.04. But hey, this isnāt the 1987 adventure comedy The Princess Bride. This is the NFL, baby! Nothing is inconceivable!
With the Patriots ranked dead last in passing yards in 2024 (2,994), itās clear that they need to prioritize adding more weapons for Drake Maye.
So if Hunter is everything that everyone says he is, heās going to be a threat to Diggsā spotlight right out of the gate. And ⦠well ⦠we know how that story ends. Ā
Bryce Young
If Carolina decides to pass on its first-round chance at boosting its WR corps, Bryce Young and his sweat glands are going to get drippy. Who would be the Panthersā WR1 in 2025? A guy with an injury history who, at kickoff, will be old enough to run for president.
Uh ⦠Happy early birthday, Adam Thielen? Panthers, letās get Young some younger help.
Russell Wilson
Sike! This dude doesnāt worry about a thing.
Youād think rumors of Shedeur Sanders being the long-term QB solution for New York might be a good reason to drip beads from your brow. But if Wilsonās 2023 public humiliation ritual (Broncos Country, Letās Ride!) didnāt break himānothing will.
While itās doubtful New York reaches for Sanders at 1.03, the rumor mill says theyāre still in the market to trade up and snag Sanders with a second first-rounder. Regardless of how hard the Giants decide to push for a young QB this week, you know Russ will be cool as a cucumber. Letās Ride!!

NFL Draft Rumors: Shedeur Sanders Free Fall?
Deciphering rumors in the runup to the NFL Draft is similar to determining the bluffs in a game of liarās poker. Yet here we are, with just days until teams tell us the ātruthā behind the smoke signals theyāve been giving off, along with draft experts figuring out team needs.
Early on, Shedeur Sanders looked like a toss-up for the No. 1 pick along with Cam Ward, yet Deionās son may now fall down the draft board? Just who is the top offensive lineman to be taken in the draft? Lastly, where is Ashton Jeanty going to land? Matthew Freedman cuts through everything in the NFL Draft rumor mill.šš¼

Bold Predictions: The Browns Got Some Dawg In Their Picks
OK, so weāve talked some rumors. When Thursday rolls around, what fans are really going to remember are the NFL Draft cognoscenti who stuck their necks out and predicted something that would happen. Like Michael Penix Jr. to the Falcons last year. Well, that one may have been too far out.
Thor Nystrom, Matthew Freedman, and Gene Clemons teamed up to deliver their favorite bold predictions going into the draft. The Browns will get their guy behind center while other teams will show restraint. Running backs will fly off the board. Check out what islands our experts are inhabiting. šš¼
THIS HAS HAPPENED JUST SIX TIMES SINCE 1980

Hereās some NFL news to sift through while youāre resting on the couch. Youāve earned it:
š ICYMI: The Thor 500 is nearly twice the number of players who will be selected in the NFL Draft.
š These WR rankings got an update. A fast riser breaks the top 12.
šŖ The rookie Tight Ends also got another look, though the top 2 are head and shoulders above the rest.
š Thereās something fishy about cooterdoodleās prediction for Travis Hunterās landing spot.
š¤ A year after he was the shocking pick in the NFL Draft, itās time to trade for Michael Penix Jr.
